Moong dal
60 gm
Cumin seeds
3 gm
Turmeric powder
2 gm
Salt to taste

Water as needed

Preparation
1. Rinse the moong dal in water and soak for 30 minutes.
2. Heat ghee or oil in a pressure cooker over medium heat.
3. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds.
4. Drain the moong dal and add to the pressure cooker. Mix.
5. Add 1 cup of water to the pressure cooker and stir.
6. Close the pressure cooker lid and cook on medium heat for 3-4 whistles.
7. Turn off the heat and let the pressure release naturally.
8. Open the pressure cooker lid and give the khichdi a stir.
9. Serve hot with a dollop of ghee on top.
