Ingredients for this Recipe

Ragi (finger millet) flour

Small onion, chopped

Green chillies, chopped

Oil

Grated ginger

1/4 tsp

Preparation

1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ragi flour, chopped onion, grated ginger, green chili, and salt.

2. Slowly add water and mix until you get a soft and pliable dough. The dough should be smooth and easy to handle. Add more water if needed.

3. Divide the dough into 2-3 equal portions and roll them into balls.

4. Take one ball of dough and place it on a flat surface.

5. Using a rolling pin, roll out the dough ball into a thin roti.

6. Heat a non-stick pan or a cast-iron skillet over medium heat. Grease the pan with a few drops of oil.

7. Place the rolled out roti on the hot pan and cook for 1-2 minutes until the bottom is golden brown and crisp.

8. Flip the roti over and cook the other side for another minute.

9. Remove the cooked roti from the pan and repeat with the remaining dough balls.

10. Serve hot with yogurt, pickle or any curry of your choice.
