Ingredients for this Recipe

Potato, peeled and diced

1 medium sized

Green peas

Small tomato, chopped

Turmeric powder

Preparation

1. Heat oil in a pan and add the cumin seeds. Let them splutter.

2. Add the finely chopped onions and cook until they are soft and translucent.

3. Add the finely chopped tomatoes and cook until they are soft and mushy.

4. Add the diced potatoes and green peas to the pan and mix well.

5. Add the turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.

6. Cover the pan and cook on low heat for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes and green peas are cooked through and tender.

7. Once the potatoes and green peas are cooked, uncover the pan and cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes to evaporate any excess water and to lightly roast the vegetables.

8. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with roti or paratha.
